A Step-By-Step Guide
Understanding the mechanics of Falling Pickaxe is critical to being successful when playing for real money online. Practice the following steps with our free to play demo game risk free!
Step 1. Set Your Bet Amount
Choose your bet value anywhere from 0.10 to 1,000 using the bet controls before launch.
Bets value can be increased or decreased by using the + and - buttons, or by opening the full bet menu screen by selecting “bet” at the bottom of the game page.
Step 2. Spin the Single Reel Slot
The game starts when you place a bet to spin the single reel slot. Each spin will land on either a red cross, or one of the four pickaxes.
| Slot Symbol | Symbol Value |
|---|---|
| Red Cross | Instant loss – round does not begin |
| Wooden Pickaxe | Lowest pickaxe value – the round starts |
| Stone Pickaxe | Medium value pickaxe – the round starts |
| Iron Pickaxe | High value pickaxe – the round starts |
| Diamond Pickaxe | Highest value pickaxe – the round starts |
If seven consecutive red cross symbols land on the reel, the eighth spin is guaranteed to result in any one of the four pickaxes and begin the round.
Step 3. Drop the Pickaxe!
This is where the action begins. Each of the four pickaxes comes with varying durability. Breaking blocks consumes some durability, eventually depleting the pickaxe to 0 durability which will end the round. The list below explains the durability of each pickaxe:
- Wooden Pickaxe – 100 durability points
- Stone Pickaxe – 150 durability points
- Iron Pickaxe – 200 durability points
- Diamond Pickaxe – 400 durability points
Understanding the value of the blocks is important to know when big win opportunities are approaching. Each strike of a block reduces both the block's health by 1 point and the pickaxe durability by 1 point. See the list below detailing each block and its health and reward statistics.
- Dirt – 1HP. Awards no winnings.
- Stone – 1HP. Awards no winnings.
- Copper – 5HP. Awards ×0.01 of the bet.
- Redstone – 10HP. Awards ×0.05 of the bet.
- Gold – 15HP. Awards ×0.2 of the bet.
- Diamond – 20HP. Awards ×1 of the bet.
- Emerald – 30HP. Awards ×5 of the bet.
Step 4. Collect Special Upgrade Blocks
The pickaxe will bust its way down through the stack of blocks, collecting win multipliers as it progresses. It's possible that along the way the pickaxe can break open special blocks with boosted enhancements, elevating the potential for wins or prolonging the game. The list below explains each special block type and its effect.
-
TNT – Explodes when struck. Destroys all blocks within its near
vicinity.
-
Upgrade Arrow – Temporarily increases the pickaxe’s size by ×1.5 for 3
seconds, increasing the mining path width. Collecting another upgrade arrow while the first
is active will increase its size to ×2 the original. Another consecutive upgrade arrow
increases it once more to ×2.5 the original.
-
Workbench – Fully replenishes the pickaxe durability, and upgrades the
next tier (Wooden, Stone, Iron or Diamond). If the pickaxe is already at Diamond tier, it
simply gets its durability replenished to full.
-
Slime Block – Propels you away at high speed when struck. Slime
blocks can never break from strikes or TNT. Slime blocks also do not deplete
durability.
Step 5. Collect Your Win at Zero Durability
The round ends once the pickaxe has completely depleted all durability. All blocks you have broken throughout the fall will have collected up to a total win amount. This amount is automatically credited to your balance as your final win amount once the pickaxe has no durability points left.
Use Bonus Buy Mode
Pay a premium price to guarantee that you start the round with one of the four pickaxes. The higher the tier of pickaxe you select in the Bonus Buy menu, the higher the premium bet price you pay.
The higher the starting pickaxe the more durability you have to begin each round with. This means that the higher durability pickaxes will cost you a higher premium price to buy. The benefit of more durability is the further the pickaxe will fall and more blocks it will break before the round is over.
Budget low and guarantee each round begins with the wooden pickaxe to avoid the red crosses (dead spins), or go all-in and purchase the Diamond Pickaxe to send it as far as the game can go with the maximum starting durability available.
